1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Reframe iOS app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the complete agreement between you and the developer.

2. Service description

Reframe is a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) thought-record app for iOS. You log a thought, identify a cognitive distortion from a predefined list, and the app generates three alternative reframes using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework. All storage happens locally on your iPhone; there is no cloud sync and no account.

The App requires iPhone 15 Pro or later running iOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence enabled. If the device does not meet these requirements, the App cannot function.

3. Purchase and payment

Reframe is a single one-time non-consumable in-app purchase priced at USD $14.99 (or the local equivalent set by Apple). There is no subscription. There is no recurring charge. Payment is collected, processed, and refunded solely by Apple through your App Store account.

Apple's refund process is the authoritative channel: reportaproblem.apple.com. The developer does not issue refunds directly.

Your purchase unlocks all current and future updates to the App as long as the App remains available on the App Store.

4. Not a medical device

Reframe is a self-reflection tool inspired by the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any mental-health condition, and does not provide medical advice.

If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, the App will surface a crisis-line link based on your device region. Please use that resource, or contact your local emergency services, rather than relying on the App.

Use of the App is not a substitute for a qualified mental-health professional.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code beyond what Apple's rights of inspection permit;
  • Remove, modify, or circumvent any licence enforcement, copy-protection, or device-capability check;
  • Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or Apple's App Store Terms of Service;
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its source code, visual design, brand mark ("the pivoted frame"), copy, and associated materials are owned by the developer and are licensed, not sold, to you. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the App on devices associated with your Apple ID.

Content you write into the App (thoughts, situations, edits) remains yours.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Specifically, the developer does not warrant that:

  • The App will meet your specific needs;
  • Apple Intelligence output will be accurate, clinically appropriate, or useful in every case;
  • The App will operate uninterrupted, error-free, or be compatible with every future iOS release;
  • Any defects will be corrected on a particular timeline.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App — including loss of data, emotional distress, or business interruption — even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be disclaimed under applicable law, the developer's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the App.

9. Modifications to the App

The developer may update the App from time to time to add features, fix bugs, improve safety (including expanding the crisis filter or post-processor rules), or respond to iOS changes. Updates are delivered through the App Store.

The developer may also discontinue the App or remove it from sale. If the App is discontinued, previously purchased copies will continue to run on your device for as long as your iOS version supports them; no refund obligation arises from discontinuation.

10. Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change materially, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete it at any time. These Terms end automatically if you uninstall the App. The developer may terminate your right to use the App if you materially breach these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising under these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tokyo, Japan.
